The 3 Best Air Purifiers for Bathrooms [2022]

Many air purifiers are available today, making shopping for one a lot of fun.

But it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all these choices, making it harder to find the right option.

So, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite air purifiers for bathrooms.

These air purifiers can effectively remove odors and VOCs in the bathroom and be small enough to fit in a tight space.

So, let’s get to it.

The Best Overall Air Purifiers for Bathrooms: Levoit Core 400S

My favorite model on the market today is the Core 400S.

And while I use this model for many rooms at home, it works great for bathrooms.

This is because the Levoit Core 400S is relatively small but very effective.

The air purifier has a unique design, allowing it to easily blend into most bathrooms.

If you have white tiles in your bathroom, the white colorway of this model will seamlessly fit into the room.

And even if it doesn’t look like the most powerful air purifier, it comes with a 3-stage filtration system.

The air has to pass through a pre-filter, activated carbon, and a HEPA filter before exiting.

This removes various particles from the air like dust, pet dander, and VOCs that could be in your bathroom.

But most importantly, this air purifier’s activated carbon filter removes foul or strong odors typically found in the bathroom.

That way, you can rest assured that your bathroom will always smell fresh, and you won’t have to deal with lingering smells.

And when it’s on the slowest speed, this air purifier operates at just around 24dB.

This is one of the quietest models on the market, so you won’t have to worry about a loud and annoying hum whenever it’s on.

One of the features of this air purifier that surprised me the most was the smart features.

You won’t find this feature in most air purifiers in this price range, which is why I enjoy using this air purifier.

Instead of navigating through a complex interface to change settings or modes, I have to open my phone.

From there, I can connect to the air purifier, tweak all its settings, and even check the air quality.

You can also build schedules for the air purifier to follow.

Hence, it only turns on when you’re home and doesn’t waste electricity.

The only complaint I had with this air purifier is that it can’t handle larger rooms.

But since bathrooms are typically some of the smallest rooms in the home, you won’t have to worry about this air purifier not handling your bathroom.

Pros:

  • Very easy to use
  • Comes with smart features
  • Great value for the money
  • Ideal for bathrooms
  • Great at capturing foul odors

Cons:

  • One of the pricier models on this list
  • Not fit for larger rooms

The Best Budget Pick Air Purifiers for Bathrooms: Germ Guardian 22″ Air purifier tower with HEPA filter & UV-C

This is excellent if you want a full-size air purifier for your bathroom but don’t want to bust the bank.

This is a 22″ tower air purifier with a HEPA filter and UV-C light.

I found this an excellent pick for bathrooms because of the UV-C purification.

This feature uses UV-C light to eliminate germs and pathogens you can typically find in the bathroom.

That way, you can ensure that your bathroom is clean and safe.

That said, I wouldn’t recommend turning this feature on while the room is in use, as UV-C light can produce ozone, which is harmful when you breathe in too much.

But aside from the UV-C light, this air purifier has a true HEPA filter.

Most air purifiers in this price range can’t afford to put a true HEPA filter and a UV-C light, which is one of the reasons this air purifier stands out.

This air purifier even comes with a charcoal filter to remove foul odors.

This makes this air purifier an excellent pick for bathrooms as you can disinfect the remove while also removing lingering smells.

One downside to this air purifier is that it’s only designed to handle small spaces.

So, it won’t be that effective if you have a large bathroom or want to use this pick for the living room.

However, if you look at the price, you’ll find that this is also one of the most affordable air purifiers on the market.

This was a surprise since it’s a full-size air purifier with a true HEPA filter and other systems to purify the air.

While this air purifier has a few flaws, it remains one of the market’s most useful bathroom air purifiers.

Pros:

  • Very affordable
  • Multi-stage filtration
  • Easy to use
  • Great for bathrooms
  • Captures various particles

Cons:

  • Not ideal for large spaces
  • UV-C light can produce ozone

Best Air Purifier for Bathroom Odors: NoMO Air Purifier for Bathroom

This is the cheapest air purifier on this list.

Still, it is also very different from the other models I featured today.

This isn’t a traditional air purifier with a fan and various filters.

Instead, this is solely an activated carbon filter you can use for odors.

While it doesn’t offer the most robust purification, it’s still very effective at ensuring your bathroom always smells fresh.

And if you have a small space that can’t fit a whole air purifier, this is a great pick.

This is a small air purifier that you can attach to the backside of your toilet, so it’s close to the primary source of foul odors.

Then, you can simply turn this on by waving your hand in front of it to start eliminating foul odors.

This is one of the only air purifiers I found explicitly designed for bathrooms, even if it’s one of the simpler picks you can find.

In fact, you don’t even have to plug this air purifier into a socket.

This is a battery-powered model, so you can leave it in the bathroom and change the batteries as necessary.

Again, this air purifier doesn’t offer the best purification.

However, this is the best pick on the market if you’re looking for a simple model that’s affordable and designed to handle bathroom odors.

Pros:

  • Small and compact
  • Doesn’t need to be plugged in
  • Touchless operation
  • Great at capturing bathroom odors
  • Affordable

Cons:

  • Doesn’t capture harmful particles and VOCs
  • You have to change the batteries
