The Village of Lombard reports on results from their recent anti-idling campaign
The Village of Lombard has been actively working to reduce fuel costs by limiting idling, purchasing fuel-efficient vehicles and pooling those vehicles for increased mileage. These actions have increased the total fleet’s average miles-per-gallon by 16% during the past three years, according to Dave Gorman, Assistant Director of Lombard’s Public Works Department.
